What if morals are functional theatre? For us? For others? What if they really aren't about what is good or right conduct? What if that's just the story? And how we embody & live out the story, is entirely different? And what if those inconsistencies are less about good & evil and instead evidence of moving parts - different cognitive infrastructure, storytelling, & sociological signaling? All moving according to inputs, context, & time?
I'm attempting to synthesize diverse frames of understanding into a coherent ecological system that makes sense (to me). Because how morals are talked about, thought about, signaled, lived out, etc. don't seem to add up. I don't think they're what we think they are, but I also think they're functional and needed.
